ISAP Bursaries 2023

The bursaries are intended to assist ISAP members who are early career practitioners or students who do not have access to substantial other funds to attend the 15th International Conference on Archaeological Prospection in March/April 2023. The value of each bursary is £100 and at least 6 bursaries may be awarded. The closing date for applications is 1st January 2022. Please read carefully the instructions on the application form, as they form part of the award conditions. The Application Statement should explain why the applicant is eligible for this bursary (see below) and highlight the benefits of the bursary not only for the applicant (i.e. extra money), but also for ISAP.

  • “early-bird” registration fees: 230 EUR (students) or 310 EUR (others);
  • Value of bursary: £100;
  • you must be an ISAP member: if you are not a member yet, you can join for a fee of 10 EUR, £11;
  • Eligibility (please provide details on the application form):
    • for early career practitioners: you will normally have graduated within the last three years and be working in archaeological prospection on a junior level, either paid or voluntarily;
    • for students: if you are registered at a university or further education college for a degree or PhD programme;
